Shanghai No.1 People's hospital was founded in 1864, formerly known as Gongji hospital. It has gone through 135 years of glorious history. It is a well-known comprehensive hospital Integrating Medicine, teaching, research and prevention. It is also the clinical medical school of Shanghai Jiaotong University. In 1992, it was first criticized as a class III class a hospital, and was rated as the advanced collective of the national health system several times, and was awarded civilized unit by the Municipal People's Government seven times (14 years) in a row. In 1999, it was rated as the "top 100 hospitals" in China.
Peking University Hospital, founded in 1915, is the first National Hospital in China and one of the first clinical medical schools in China. Peking University Hospital was formerly approved by the Ministry of education of the Republic of China to set up an affiliated clinic in Beijing Medical College; in 1946, Peking University and Peking University were merged, hence the name "Peking University Hospital"; after that, Peking University and Peking University merged again in 2000, and the hospital was renamed "Peking University First Hospital".
