China Women's volleyball training base project
China Women's volleyball training base is located near the sports center, the main venue of China Women's volleyball, covering an area of twelve point seven 10000 square meters (about one hundred and ninety point five Mu), with a total cost of nearly 200 million yuan. The project is divided into three phases. Hubei Wuhan Sports Center
Wuhan sports center is located in the southwest of Wuhan, in Wuhan Economic Development Zone, Southeast of Jianghan University (Headquarters), covering a total area of 1580 mu. As a provincial and municipal key project, Wuhan Sports Center was officially established in July 1998. According to the one-time planning and two-phase construction, 60000 main stadiums, two standard training fields, and three squares in the East, West and south, which can accommodate 3000 cars and 300 parking lots, were built in July 2007 One point three 10000 gymnasiums, 3500 swimming pools and leisure squares , business district, national fitness and other supporting facilities. Since 2002, the center has hosted 20 domestic large-scale sports events and nearly 20 large-scale performances. The 2007 Women's world cup is held here.
Taiwan solar stadium project
The stadium has 55000 spectators at a cost of One point five Billion dollars. The surface of the stadium is covered by 8844 solar panels with an area of 14155 square meters, making it the largest solar stadium in the world. It can produce one point one four Gigawatt per hour is enough to supply 80% of the surrounding residents. Taiwan's solar stadium will hold the world games in July 2009.
